It certainly is a great time of the year isn't it.

Beautiful blackberries and beans! I just ask my husband to shred and bag squash yesterday, as I couldn't eat another "squash" anything. Time to start making and freezing potato squash soup soon...
Health, Home & Happiness blog had a bit about lacto-fermented green beans the other day if you are looking for another way to preserve them. Sounded interesting.
those cucumbers scream for pickling! Beans oh beans!
Margaret,
great, yes, exhausting, but great.
Spirals,
Almost there with you on the squash. The kids have been there for some time. Potato squash soup? Care to share?
Lacto-fermented? I'll have to check that out.

I have a gallon of cucumbers in brine waiting to be pickled. I also gave a bunch away. I can't keep up with them! :)
Wow. My garden is so pathetic next to this. So far I've harvested one tiny tomato.
I saved my pickle juice and peeled and chopped some cucumbers and threw them in the jar. They are so good.
Mmm, I'm definitely going to try cucumbers next year. Those look so much yummier than those waxy things at Wal-mart.
Oh I wish I had that problem!!! We had a super opening spring now it has gone dry and gets hot/cold on a daily swing. Few green beans and the tomatoes are just starting to get a little yellow. Enjoy those :)
Sweetie, it could be worse. Last count last weekend, hubby had canned 98 pints/quarts of pickles. The cukes won't quit coming. Mother Nature has been generous but we're getting a little tired. At least we have plenty to share. Don't even ask me about the peas, okra, and squash. Good luck. And "lots of vegetables is a good thing, lots of vegetables is a good thing".
Before you know it some of us will be knee-deep in snow and wishing for these days again! Have fun preserving all those yummy veggies!
Just realized you had blackberries in your photos too. They are just starting to ripen here. So are the mulberries. Never used mulberries before, got any good recipes?
Mary,
I'll bring some Monday for you! ;)
Angie,
Please do not use the "S" word! YIKES!
I've never done anything with Mulberries either except just eat them.
