Doing the Happy Dance
I love my dishwasher....
I love central heat....
I love brewed coffee....
and my stove, electric lights, refrigerator, microwave, and of course my computer.
Little things you so appreciate after being without power for about 50 hours!

50 hours? What happened? Is the stuff in your freezer OK?
I can relate as we were without power for about that long in 2006 because of a windstorm.
Electricity. It's a GOOD thing.

We once had to go two weeks without power from an ice storm. It was challenging, to say the least! Glad you have your comforts back!
I know what you mean. Once when living in the back blocks in New Zealand the power went off just after I put our Christams dinner in the oven. IT WAS OFF FOR 22 HOURS!! Not the best start to Christmas Day when you had eight guests arriving. Margaret
50 hours isn't too bad, try 9 days(after hurricane) but we didn't have freezing weather.
a case of you don't miss it 'til it's gone ;)wow- 50 hours! You could have squatted here for a couple days - assuming you could out of the woods! LOL
