Pink

There are few of us who haven't been touched in some way by breast cancer. We almost all know family, friends or cyber friends who have battled breast cancer. Some have beaten it, and sadly others, like my Grandmother,  have not.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. There are lots of ways to support Breast Cancer Awareness this month. One interesting site I found is Pink for October 2008. This site invites readers to share their personal stories, get buttons and graphics, or make donations to support the cause.

If you have shopping to do, look for sites that are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness.  Shop.com is one such site. The have set up a mini site with in their site, The Breast Cancer Awareness shop, that helps promote awareness and raise funds for Breast Cancer charities. If you're not familiar with this site, it a a one cart shopping site. You can comparison shop stores, get coupons, find free shipping, and make purchases all in one place.

Take some time this month to educate your self about breast cancer, and to support Breast Breast Cancer Awareness.

Thank you for supporting the Breast Cancer Awareness Month! :D

We are running a series of 12 contests on the Pink for October website throughout October and there are many attractive prizes up for grabs too. That includes a “Share Your Story And Win A Prize” contest where you can share a true story, or encourage your friend/family/neighbour/colleague to share theirs, plus a "Design And Win" contest where you can submit the Pink for October buttons/badges/banners that you have designed.

For more information, please visit the official Pink for October website: http://pinkforoctober.org
