Apple Ginger Preserves
Still doing apples.....
This one made the house smell wonderful! It can be used on bread, but I like it baked on chicken or pork. It also makes a good condiment on chicken breasts.
2 C water
2 C brown sugar
2 Tb lemon juice
1 Tb coarsely chopped ginger
Boil the water, sugar and lemon juice five mintues or until clear. Add the apples and ginger. Simmer two hours or until it is thick and brown. Pour into hot jars and seal. I used the inversion method to seal the jars.
I may need top rated diet pills after making all these apple goodies!

I'm getting apples from a friend this afternoon- I'm going to use some of your apple ideas & try my hand at canning stuff!
Gosh, that looks good. I'm sending it to Semi-Demi-Exboyfriend, an aficionado of canning and preserves. LOL! Maybe that will be a way to get some without having to work. ;-)
This looks so delicious! Perfect for fall!!
Thank you for participating in this week's edition of the Carnival of Home Preserving!
