A Gift of Wine
Recently we received a two bottles of wine from Gold Medal Wine Club. The wine arrived nicely wrapped with bows. It came with a personalized gift card, and a copy of their newsletter.
I really enjoyed reading the newsletter. It tells the story of the wine, the wineries and the owners. Recipes are included that would pair well with the featured wines, as is club member judging results for wines featured in previous months. The newsletter is colorful and full of pictures.
Gold Medal Wine Club features award winning wines from smaller California wineries. We received Zinfandel from Bradford Mountain Wineries, and Chardonnay from the Belvedere Winery, both featured as the wine of the month. Though this is a wine club designed to send out wine every month. There is a lot of flexibility in how long you participate. In fact, you can choose to participate for any amount of time; even just one month.
This really was a wonderful package to get in the mail. What a perfect gift for those hard to shop for people on your list, especially those that live far away. I really did not think that a gift like this would within my budget range. I was surprised to see that the prices are very reasonable. A two bottle shipment is $32 plus shipping. A good deal, in my opinion, for two award winning bottles of wine gift wrapped and safely packaged with a personalized card and entertaining newsletter.

I wonder if they will ship to AZ... I love wine and so many companies wont ship here because of our laws... I will check them out!
We love to give wine as gifts. I try to get our wine on sale at our local supermarket. They usually offer an additional ten percent off if you purchase six bottles or more so I get the additional savings. These are great to have on hand for all of those hostess gifts!
Don't forget to try Texas wines. We have lots of sunshine and a bunch of good, new wineries.
Jon,
I had no idea Texas had wine. Ya'll have it all down there don't ya!
