So Cute and It is Maternity!

Long gone are the days when maternity clothes were designed to "hide" your belly, but really just made you look like you were wearing a tent. Maternity clothes now are fashionable and fun in sleek cuts and fun patterns. This shirt from Kiki's Fashions is a perfect example.

The shirt is 95% Rayon and 5% spandex making it smooth and slightly stretchy. It is sheer (as advertised) and comfortable. It is well made, and at $19.99 well priced in my opinion. Their site offers similar priced tops, bottoms and dresses in trendy styles and fabrics.

The web site is user friendly, offers plenty of pictures, and a sizing chart. (FYI, they tend to run a bit small.) Free priority shipping is available when your order is $75 or more, by using coupon code FREESHIP9. Check their Belly of the Month Feature for some great testimonials of their clothing and some "real life" pictures.

Pregnancies are exciting and should be celebrated, not hidden behind yards of fabric. I'm glad the tent days are gone, and that we now have more choices in maternity wear. I always hated buying maternity clothes, mostly because I hated laying out the big bucks for clothes that would be worn only a few months. With the fun fashions and reasonable prices at Kiki's, it would be easy to buy a few mix and match pieces to keep you stylish without breaking your budget.

Be on the look out for more regarding this shirt at a later date!

I got lucky with both of my pregnancies. I didn't show until 7 mo. with either one of them and I was all (okay only mostly) belly. It was like I had a little basketball under my shirt. The styles I wore before I got pregnant were large, long shirts, so I didn't have to buy much except for pants. Matthew was also born in January which made it easy to just wear my big sweaters and sweat shirts. Steven was born in June and, as luck would have it, Mike's sister lived in Arizona when she had her girls. She gave me TONS of tank tops and shorts and I didn't have to buy a thing!
Cute shirt!!

You were one of those huh? with the perfect pregnant bellies! Figures! LOL

Sis
Before any rumors get started I am not expecting I don't like the tight ones either especially on me. I have too many other rolls beside my pregnant belly that show! :)

I was going to ask you the same question as Mom. I even called Heather to ask! I wore awful looking clothes when I was pregnant with Jarrett. I think most of the clothes are cute especially if your small to begin with!

You've got to expect that when you post a picture of a maternity top, and then end the article with "more on this top later" we are going to wonder if there is another little Appleton on the way :) I wondered the exact same thing immediately. . .

Jenn,
You're absolutely right. It wasn't intentional. :) In fact the shirt doesn't even fit me, as I said their sizes run small, and well let's just say I don't! ;)

It always irritates me that it's so hard to find natural fabrics for maternity clothes, and that the cotton are knit instead of weaves which all adds up to miserable hot and sweaty summer months while pregnant. I'd get excited if that top was in a breathable fabric, like a loose cotton weave.
