Pay Per Post Hints

I do not claim to be a PayPerPost expert. There are people who make far more money with PayPerPost than I do, but Milehimama asked for a little help in her comment on Summer Debt Disappointment. I am happy to share what I know.

1. Be sure to specify categories for your blog. After you sign in, click on the tab "my blogs." Then click on the link that has your blog name. Then you can pick up to four categories.

2. Now that you are back to your blog page in PPP. Be sure that you have PPP tools installed. This will make more opportunities available to you. You should have a green thumb for "marketplace." The "direct" program is if you want advertisers to be able to directly offer you something. It enables you to have a button like the "Hire Me" one in my side bar.

3. To see what is available to you, click "open opportunities." Opportunities are available to you based on your categories (step 1) and your Google page rank. My page rank is not high, but there are always opportunities available to me, although not always ones that I want to take.

4. Start checking for opportunities in the afternoon. It seems the new ones usually come out between 2:00 and 4:00 EST.

5. If you see one you want, jump on it! Click on the opportunity for a more detailed description, and click "Take this Opportunity."

Very important
: The good opportunities go very fast.Take the opportunity before you write the post. Take it even if you don't have time to write about it right this second.

By clicking "Take This Opportunity," you hold your place for that opportunity for six hours. So once you take the opportunity, you can tend to the kids, the laundry or whatever else you need to. If you don't complete the post and submit it within six hours, it will go back in the pool for others to take.

6. You may want to include an affiliate button like the one below on your blog somewhere. I have another small one under "reducing debt with" in the sidebar. Referrals are worth money.

I hope this was helpful. If you have any other hints or questions, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks for informing us about the mysterious world of pay per post. I have been thinking about doing it. Do you mind me asking on avg how much you make, and how much time you spend finding the opportunity/writing about it. Well, I guess I am asking if it is really worth the time investment.

I think it is worth it, but I can't really answer that for you. It is hard to say how much time is spent because every job is different. Some posts have been as quick as five minutes. Some have taken about an hour. That was when I made a video though and had to upload it ect. I probably spend a few minutes each day checking for opps and maybe 20 minutes average for writing and submitting the posts.

Posts that are available to me usually pay between $5 & 10, though I have gotten some up to $20. In theory the $5 posts should be short and easy. The $10 should require more. It doesn't always work that way, but you don't have to take an opportunity if you think the requirements are too much for the pay.

I've made over $320 since joining the end of December.
