Make It From Scratch #20 - Challenge Week

This week is also Challenge Week. (The first week of each month.) Those who tried something new are eligible to win something made from scratch by me! This month's prize choices are buttermilk pancake mix, cornbread mix, or vanilla coffee mix. Posts with ** next to them are participating in the challenge.
For Baby
Those first few times feeding baby solids can be quite an adventure. You may only get a few bites in. Soon baby will be eating up your grocery budget, if you are buying baby food. Julie presents an alternative, Save Money Making Your Own Baby Food posted at More4kids Baby.
**Before you know it baby will be out of the highchair and exploring the house. Protect their little fingers with How to Make a Door Stop or Door Holder posted at HowToMe.
Gardening
**Summer is here and with it fresh produce from the garden, but sometimes you have to prevent the pests from enjoying it before you do. We are trying our own Pepper Spray.
**Silvia Barrett has planted a wide variety of vegetables and is currently enjoying Swiss Chard. Swiss Chard in the Garden and in the Frying Pan posted at Po Moyemu--In My Opinion.
**When there is more to harvest than you can eat fresh, it is time to find a way to preserve it. Joanna is making Cilantro for later, posted at Sunflowers in my Kitchen.
