Funny how just those titles can bring back, not just the lyrics, but memories of big hair, pegged pants, and crazy teen years. I distinctly remember listening to Every Breath You Take is the kitchen of our home when I was in the seventh grade. My friends and I would make our own cassettes because we didn't have money to buy them. We would sit and listen to Casey Kasem's top 40, recording all the songs. The quality wasn't great, and often we would miss a bit of the beginning of the song, or get a bit of the advertising after the song, but we were in junior high, and thought we were so cool.
The above songs are being compiled on a new police cd. The Police are even touring again! Thanks to Pay Per Post, I may be able to win the police cd, and listen to those "classics" with a lot better sound quality than I originally did. They are offering 215 posties the opportunity to post about the cd, and 100 of those posties will win a prize pack that includes the CD. Pick me! Pick me!
