Thursday Thirteen #3 - What I'd like to make from scratch

Encouraged by all your comments, I am considering having Make It From Scratch as a regular feature around here. More on that later, but what else would I like to try to make from scratch?
In no particular order.

1. Butter

2. Microwave Popcorn

3. Tortillas

4. Tamales

5. Farm clothes

6. Knit anything

7. Blackberry Wine

8. Pretzels

9. Braided rug from rags

10. Cheese

11. Sauerkraut

12. Pecan Pie

13. Blackberry Sherbet

Hmm... wonder how many I will actually do?

To join in or see some more go to Thursday Thirteen.

I've been wanting to make one of those rag rugs forever. I started collecting "rags" for one but the project just hasn't gotten underway. So many projects...so little time.

Stephanie pecan pie is a very easy one to make & does not take much time Mabel

If you ever make blackberry sherbet, please send some to me. Mmm!

Congrats on being selected as one of the featured Thirteeners for the week at the Hub. Enjoy!!!

Mmmm...homemade popcorn, pretzels & butter, OH MY!!! Love your T13! I like to try my hand at cooking from scratch, too. Have a great day!!!

Ok, so I've made 1,8, & 12. On my list would be 6,7 & 9. I have attempted toritllas, however I don't have a press & rolling them with a pin was useless.

Great list!

Tortillas are fun to make from scratch and they're soooo good! My ex-husband is Mexican and his mother made them all the time. :o)

I would love to learn to knit! Butter is easy, you can do it in a jar, even a peanut butter or spagetti suace jar!

You go! I love "from scratch" anything. I'm so from scratch with my knitting, I even dye my own fiber & spin it & then knit it! Someday, I'll raise the sheep, too!

I'm a new Thursday 13er, and I'm having fun visiting as many blogs as I can! I wish I had more time! You can see my first list at:

Making a pecan pie sounds like a very good idea! I'd love to make one too. The blackberry sherbert sounds heavenly too. (-:

I used to knit. It is rewarding, and easy to learn. Also, I've made sauerkraut, pecan pies, and braided rugs from scratch. But, I'm not all that energetic anymore! I love to compute.

Be okay with me to make it regular!

Make your own microwave popcorn is SO easy. Take a brown lunch bag. Pour in 1/3 cup popcorn kernels. Roll down the top of the bag and nuke for about 2 mins. Viola! Microwave popcorn from really cheap popcorn kernels.

Makes me tired just reading that list. I think I have to go take a nap! :-)

Check out my list. No physical exercise required.

This is a really great list, very inspirational in the creativity department. I think cheese might be the most difficult one of the list! Happy thirteening!
