My clothes pin holder
When we first put up our clothes line here, I went and bought a plastic clothes pin holder. It worked fine, until I dropped it. Then one of the plastic tabs broke and it wouldn't stay together anymore. On another Wednesday, I talked about "All those shopping bags. " Well as they saying goes, "Necessity is the mother of invention." I made a clothes pin holder out of a shopping bag.
I simply put the clothes pins in the bag and used two clothes pins on the handles to hang the bag on the line. It was intended to be a temporary fix, but it worked so well I just kept using it.
Two months later, I still have not purchased a new holder. Yesterday, I did have to get a new bag as the clothes pins were starting to poke holes in the old one.

Great recycling! I bet we could do a whole wfmw on just these bags!
I think Jane has a great idea! anyways, I wish I had been so inventive! I bought one of the cloth ones that hangs with a metal piece on the line, but before that, I just clipped a bunch on my shirt tail or loaded my pockets as much as I could. Then, I used to leave my cloth bag hanging on the line until one time a couple of bees flew out of it and scared the bejeezes out of me. Now I bring it in every time. You could also hang the plastic bag on a hanger with the strap-stoppers on it.
Great idea! Happy Holidays =)
I'm doing this as soon as the weather gets warm enough to hang. Great idea, the bag I have never holds the pins properly.
Great idea & great way to use all those extra bags.
