Holy cow! We had a couple of those by our front porch. With all the rain in the Midwest its been mushroom central here.

Yes they are edible they are a Parasol Mushroom. We ate some just sauteed in butter. I am going to post later today about what I did with the rest.

No they weren't in our yard. Hopefully Applehead

They are huge! Ummm you could dry some of them for gravies and soups as well.

Goodness - those are HUGE! Were you able to cook those. I am always a little tentive with wild mushrooms. I hope they tasted great.
